Over the past year, Clifton restaurant has gained popularity among the professionals, food critics as well as the Asian clients for its authentic food and serene ambience.

A unique Bangladeshi experience in a complementary atmosphere and decor - authentic Bangladeshi cuisine as eaten in our own homes in a new restaurant spread over two floors and seating 100 - with the lower floor available for exclusive parties.

 

Those truly interested in the art of 'Indian' food will know that the artists in this field in the United Kingdom are largely Bangladeshi - and of that country, specifically from Sylhet, the northern region near Assam whose capital city, Sylhet, beside the river Surma, was a principal British 'Indian' City during the Raj. Even today much of the impressive architecture of Sylhet dates, in fading gentility, from those days - when Sylhet was known to the Colonials as 'Little England'.

 

 

Just as you gave us your architecture, we gave you the food of the Indian subcontinent.

 

Now gourmands are increasingly becoming interested in the food of our area, and the time is right, we feel to offer a Bangladeshi menu based on the food we eat in our homes. Comparison with a conventional menu will show you how different it is.
